Black Cockatoo Crisis Movie

Hosted by Katanning Landcare

Western Australia’s iconic black cockatoos are in crisis. All three species could become extinct in under 20 years unless urgent action is taken to protect their habitats including critical breeding habitat right here in Katanning.

This 75-minute documentary film looks at the plight of our treasured Carnaby’s, Baudin’s and Forest Red-Tailed Black Cockatoos and what we can do to stop them disappearing forever. The clock is ticking on these unique birds. Will we save them in time?

Special Q&A after the show with filmmaker Jane Hammond and Birdlife Australia’s project coordinator for Carnaby’s Cockatoos Dr Sam Rycken.
