A new community garden established in Autumn 2026, has brought the community closer together to alleviate issues relating to Australia’s increasingly drying climate. This Southern Dirt initiative offered workshops in how to construct your own wicking bed and use organic methods of cultivation. A thriving gardening club at the site now organises produce swaps, provides gardening tips and information, with garden visits and invited speakers.
Produce will be available to purchase, and Southern Dirt will be holding a workshop at the Family Floral Market.
