Start your wildflower adventure in
Kojonup<\/a>, 265 km south of Perth, at Kodja Place, Albany Highway to see the annual wildflower display of local species. Purchase a wildflower guide and grab a map from the Visitor Centre for Myrtle Benn & Farrar Reserves, which are both well known wildflower walks close to town.  There are several spots in town for lunch.<\/span><\/ins><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continue your drive 40kms east to Katanning<\/a>. For a spot of luxury stay the night at the Premier Hill Motel <\/a> or any number of other accommodation options in town. A short walk down Austral Terrace will get you to the Katanning Visitors Centre where you can pick up information on local wildflower walks and other local attractions.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From\nKatanning head south for 87kms on Great Southern Highway to Cranbrook. Call\ninto the Gillami Centre, located on the Highway as you enter town, where you\ncan collect a local map and information on where to find the beautiful local\nwildflowers. From Saturday 26 September\nto Sunday 4 October<\/strong> view the local wildflower display and botanic artwork &\nsculpture by local artists Lesley Spencer, Jane Thomson and Trevor Woodward,\nThe Cranbrook Regional Community Hub, 3 Dunn Street. A photographic exhibition by\nGenevieve\nMilnes, documenting the\nregeneration of the Stirling Range National Park and Camel Lake following the\nDecember bushfires,<\/ins> will give you some great insight if\nyou plan to head out to the Stirling Ranges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pin Cushion Hakea<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Stirling Range National Park, 76kms from Cranbrook, is one of the world\u2019s most important areas for flora with 1500 species recorded, many of which grow nowhere else.  There are a number of amazing walks and accommodation options to choose from as well as guided walks at Stirling Range Retreat and Mt Trio Bushcamp. https:\/\/greatsoutherntreasures.com.au\/towns\/borden\/<\/p>\n\n\n\n

72 kms\neast of the national park is Ongerup. From Monday\n21 September to Sunday 4<\/strong> October <\/strong>the\nOngerup-Needilup\nDistrict Museum Spring hosts its annual wildflower show with local botanically\nnamed wildflowers. Situated in middle of town, the museum also has railway,\nnatural heritage, shearing & machinery displays. Call into the Yongergnow\nMalleefowl Centre where you can have the rare opportunity to view the\nMalleefowl in its natural environment. Open Tuesday to Saturday 9.00am to 4.00pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualup Bell<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

From Ongerup head back to the Porongurup <\/a>National Park (118kms). Over 1 billion years old, this ancient forest island is home to towering granite peaks, majestic stands of Karri trees and has exceptional wildflowers.  The Twin Peaks Reserve is a fantastic bush walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mt Barker\nis 27kms west and has plenty of food and accommodation options. Visit https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/mbvcwa\/<\/a> to check out local events during\nspring and visitor centre opening hours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
